EXPLORING THE INTERSECTION OF NEUROSCIENCE, IDENTITY & COMMUNITY

LONG BIO
Christine Sylvain is a speaker, author, and social impact leader exploring the intersection of neuroscience, identity, culture, and community. As the Founder and CEO of Path to College, she has spent a decade helping high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds earn full-ride acceptances to top-tier universities—and witnessing firsthand how belonging, mentorship, and agency transform young people’s futures.
As a Haitian-American woman raised in a multicultural home, Christine writes and speaks about the ways identity, family, and culture shape our brains, our confidence, and our ability to thrive. Her work argues that youth development is societal development, and that healing the fractures in our families and communities is essential to America’s future.
Christine blends intellectual rigor with emotional fluency—drawing from neuroscience, psychology, cultural analysis, and lived experience to help audiences understand how connection, identity, and meaning fuel human potential. Her voice is progressive, authentic, and boldly hopeful. Through storytelling and research, she reveals how individuals and societies can move from fragmentation to flourishing.
She speaks on identity formation, mixed culture belonging, discipline and agency, teen mental health, the neuroscience of connection, and how to build whole humans in a fractured world. Her upcoming work explores how families, schools, and communities can serve as engines of attunement, resilience, and self-actualization.
